James Harden Traded Heavily to Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired James Harden in a seven-player trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Clippers sent Marcus Morris, Nick Batum, Robert Covington, KJ Martin and multiple draft picks to the 76ers for Harden, PJ Tucker and Filip Petrusev. The trade adds a third All-Star to the Clippers, joining Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Harden is one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history and will give the Clippers offense a much needed boost. Tucker is a tough defender who will also help the Clippers on the other end of the court. He is also an excellent three-point shooter, which will create space for Harden and the rest of the Clippers' stars. The 76ers traded Harden for three expiring contracts, which will help them gain financial flexibility going forward. They also brought in several young players like Martin, Batum and Petrusev. The deal is a win-win for both teams. The Clippers get a superstar like Harden, which gives them a chance to contend for a championship
