James Harden Traded Heavily to Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired James Harden in a seven-player trade with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Clippers sent Marcus Morris, Nick Batum, Robert Covington, KJ Martin and multiple draft picks to the 76ers for Harden, PJ Tucker and Filip Petrusev.

The trade adds a third All-Star to the Clippers, joining Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Harden is one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history and will give the Clippers offense a much needed boost.

Tucker is a tough defender who will also help the Clippers on the other end of the court. He is also an excellent three-point shooter, which will create space for Harden and the rest of the Clippers' stars.

The 76ers traded Harden for three expiring contracts, which will help them gain financial flexibility going forward. They also brought in several young players like Martin, Batum and Petrusev.

The deal is a win-win for both teams. The Clippers get a superstar like Harden, which gives them a chance to contend for a championship this season, while the 76ers have financial flexibility and several young players who could grow into major contributors in the future.

Analysis.

The Clippers roster depth right now looks like this:

PG: Kawhi Leonard, Russell Westbrook

SG: Paul George, Ivica Zubac

SF: Norman Powell, Terrence Mann

PF: Marcus Morris Sr, Robert Covington

C: Ivica Zubac, Moses Brown

Harden starts and Westbrook will be on the bench. This is good for both players, as Westbrook is better suited to come off the bench and provide a spark for the team.

Harden will provide the Clippers with much needed space on offense. He is one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA and has the ability to create his own shot. This will free up Leonard and George, allowing them to operate more effectively.

Tucker is a great addition to the Clippers' defensive end. He is a tough defender who can defend multiple positions. He is also an excellent rebounder who can shoot the three-point shot.

Overall, this trade makes the Clippers stronger. They now have three All-Stars and a deep bench. They are one of the favorites to win the NBA championship this season.
